Privacy Notice

Information You Submit

A name or place entered in a search box passes to the outside provider that operates the search. This site does not keep or log those terms on its own systems. A message sent by email or a contact form may be retained long enough to answer it. Message content is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.

Technical Data and Cookies

Normal web operations may collect an IP address, browser name and version, device and operating system, pages viewed, time spent, referring page, and timestamps. Cookies can help measure visits and site use. Browser controls can block cookies, though some functions may then work differently.

How Data Is Used

Collected data may keep pages operating, route a query to the selected search partner, show which material is useful, diagnose technical trouble, and support advertising that may reflect a visitor’s interests. These uses do not turn this private reference into a St. Helena Parish records custodian.

Outside Sites and Services

Links lead to LA VINE, the sheriff, courts, corrections pages, government portals, news outlets, and outside search tools. The destination’s own privacy terms apply after a visitor leaves. Advertising partners may use their systems to measure activity across websites for tailored ads.

Who May Receive Data

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be handled by search partners that process a query, analytics providers, advertising networks, and government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order.

Security Has Practical Limits

Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet service or storage system is breach-proof. This notice does not promise absolute security for data sent online.

Visitors Under Eighteen

The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian may use the Get in Touch page to request deletion when a minor has submitted information.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law, a person may ask for a copy of personal data held by the site, seek correction, request deletion, or object to certain processing. Louisiana public records held by the sheriff, Clerk, or another agency must be addressed to that official custodian under Louisiana’s Public Records Law, including R.S. 44:31 and 44:32.

Changes to This Notice

This privacy notice may be revised as practices or legal duties change. A new version becomes effective when it is posted with an updated effective date.
